Matthew Simmons is a senior technology and cybersecurity executive with more than two decades of leadership across financial services and national security. He currently serves as a Managing Director at Wells Fargo, where he leads Vulnerability and Patch Management and previously oversaw Cybersecurity Operations, Threat Detection Services, and Incident Response. Before entering the private sector, he spent over 17 years with the Air Force Office of Special Investigations, directing global counterintelligence, investigations, and operations across Europe, Africa, and the United States. A Reserve Officer in the U.S. Air Force, Matthew brings deep expertise in cyber defense, intelligence, and organizational resilience. He holds degrees in History and Military History from Texas State University and American Military University, and maintains advanced certifications including GSLC and Insider Threat Vulnerability Assessor.
