Duke Executive Cybersecurity Abroad
Duke University offers cybersecurity training programs abroad, bringing world-class expertise to international audiences. Led by distinguished Duke faculty and industry practitioners, these programs combine academic rigor with real-world insights from expert guest speakers and global leaders in cybersecurity. Designed to build leadership capacity and strengthen organizational resilience, each program is tailored to regional needs and contexts.
Below is a list of current cybersecurity programs offered outside of the United States.
Cloud Security for Leaders Certificate (Panama City, Panama)
To make advanced cybersecurity education more accessible to professionals across Panama and the broader Latin American region, this program is hosted by Duke University’s Executive Cybersecurity Certificate Programs, in partnership with Banco General Panama and Universidad Corporativa Banco General (UCBG) on the UCBG campus. Participants will gain a foundational understanding of cloud architecture, identify key vulnerabilities, and explore strategies to mitigate operational and regulatory risks.

Program Co-Directors
Art Ehuan is the Executive in Residence at the Pratt School of Engineering and Executive Director of the Master of Engineering in Cybersecurity Program. Previously Art served as the Vice President at Palo Alto Networks, a global cybersecurity corporation and managing director at Alvarez & Marsal, global cyber risk service management practice, an international consulting firm. Art has held cybersecurity leadership roles at USAA, Northrop Grumman Corporation and Cisco Systems. Art has worked with governments and law enforcement in the U.S. and overseas on cybersecurity cases, frequently giving expert testimony in federal, military, and state courts on digital forensics and cybercrime matters. For nearly two decades he has served as a lecturer for the U.S. State Department’s Anti-Terrorism Assistance Cyber Training Program, and he previously also worked as a supervisory special agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and a special agent for the U.S. Air Force Office of Special Investigations. Art has been retained as a cyber expert on prominent data breaches to include Sony Pictures, Target, Anthem, Equifax, Marriott and Capital One.
David Hoffman is the Steed Family Professor of the Practice of Cybersecurity Policy at the Sanford School of Public Policy. He also formerly was the Associate General Counsel, Director of Security Policy and Global Privacy Officer for Intel Corporation. Hoffman currently chairs the Civil Liberties and Privacy Panel for the Director’s Advisory Board for the US National Security Agency. He also chairs the board of the Center for Cybersecurity Policy and Law, and serves on the Advisory Boards for the Future of Privacy Forum and the Israel Tech Policy Institute. Hoffman also founded and chairs the board for the Triangle Privacy Research Hub, which highlights and fosters cybersecurity and privacy academic research done in the North Carolina Research Triangle.
