Juan Carlos Paris is a cybersecurity strategist and senior executive in the Latin American financial sector, with extensive experience leading security, technology risk, and data protection initiatives in the financial industry. He currently serves as Director of IT and Data Protection Officer for a regional bank, and combines that role with an active career as an international speaker, TEDx Speaker, and producer of specialized content focused on turning “users” into active defenders against cybercrime.

He currently serves as director of the Cybersecurity Committee of the Panamanian Banking Association, member of the Data Protection Officers Committee of the same association, ambassador of the Cybersecurity Comunidad Dojo in Panama, and member of the EU CyberNet Expert Pool, among other international collaboration spaces. Based in Panama, he acts as a bridge between the regulatory and operational reality of the region and global best practices in cloud, AI, and incident management, contributing a practical, business-oriented perspective deeply aligned with the specific cybersecurity and digital resilience challenges of Latin America
