Jeff Crume
Jeff Crume is a Distinguished Engineer in IBM’s Data and AI Security Technical Sales organization and a seasoned cybersecurity executive with more than 40 years of experience in the IT industry. He holds a PhD in Cybersecurity and specializes in designing and advising on security architectures for global clients.
A widely recognized thought leader, Jeff’s cybersecurity videos on YouTube have garnered more than 10 million views. He is the author of Inside Internet Security: What Hackers Don’t Want You to Know (Addison-Wesley) and a contributing author to the Information Security Management Handbook, Sixth Edition, Volume 7 (Auerbach). His influence in the field has earned him membership in the inaugural class of the NC State University Computer Science Alumni Hall of Fame, as well as the IBM Academy of Technology. He is also an IBM Master Inventor.
Jeff has presented at more than 100 conferences and seminars worldwide and has worked with clients in 50 countries across six continents. His published work spans cryptography, virtual private networking, identity management, LDAP, password security, and network security. He has served on the editorial board of the Information Management & Computer Security research journal, the NC State University Cyberlaw Board, and the program committee for the International Network Conference.
